Stabbing – Investigation: C23-149266

On June 20, 2023, at approximately 11:20 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 3000 block of Portage Avenue for the report of a stabbing.

General Patrol officers from the West District located a 26-year-old male victim nearby suffering from severe upper-body injuries resulting from a stabbing. Officers provided emergency medical care until medical professionals arrived. The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition. He underwent emergency surgery for his injuries and was subsequently upgraded to stable.

No arrests have been made, and the Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate.
