Robbery – Arrests: C22-291242

Released: December 16, 2022 at 3:27 p.m.

On December 16, 2022, at 12:16 a.m., North District General Patrol members, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team and K9 Unit, responded to the 1300 block of McPhillips Street for a report of an injured male whose vehicle had just been stolen.

Upon arrival, officers located the male, and he was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

The stolen vehicle was tracked to the area of Inkster Boulevard and Keewatin Street, at which time it was stopped, and several individuals were taken into custody.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued with the investigation.

It is believed that the victim, in his 20s, had attended the area with an acquittance when he was involved in a dispute with a group. The victim attempted to run to his SUV but was assaulted. His property and vehicle were subsequently stolen.

A 16-year-old female of Winnipeg has been charged with:

- Robbery

She was detained in custody.

An 18-year-old female of Winnipeg is facing charges of:

- Robbery

She was released on an Undertaking (as mandated by the Criminal Code).
