Carjacking – Arrest: C22-15122

Released: January 22, 2022 at 8 a.m.

On January 21, 2022, at 9:07 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service received a report of a carjacking that had just occurred in the 300 block of Manitoba Avenue.

A female in her 60’s had gotten her vehicle stuck in a snowbank when a male suspect approached and offered to help her. Soon after, the suspect carjacked her at knifepoint and fled in the car. She was not physically injured.

At approximately 9:23 p.m., a Central District General Patrol unit observed the vehicle parked in the 400 block of Alexander Avenue with a male driver inside it. The male entered a nearby house and was taken into custody with the assistance of other police units.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued with the investigation.

Jordan Garry Moar, a 20-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

- Robbery

He was detained in custody.
