On January 13, 2022, at approximately 9:50 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a commercial break-in at a vehicle rental location in the 1500 block of Erin Street.
AIR1 quickly established visual containment as a suspect was observed fleeing through the parking lot and discarding property along the way. The suspect was observed climbing over trailers and fleeing the area.
AIR1 continued to monitor the suspect’s movements and provided his direction of travel to ground units in the area. He was located and taken into custody near Wall Street and Notre Dame Avenue.
Keegan Blair ASSINIBOINE, a 27-year-old male of Winnipeg, was charged with Break Enter and Theft to a Place and Fail to Comply Release Order x 2.
He was detained in custody.
