Aggravated Assault – Arrest: C22-802

Released: January 3, 2022 at 8 a.m.

On January 2, 2022, at 11:22 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a residence in the 100 block of Lansdowne Avenue for a report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from stab wounds and began to provide emergency medical care. The male was transported to hospital in unstable condition and was later upgraded to stable condition.

A female suspect was placed under arrest at the house.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued with the investigation, and the incident is believed to be domestic violence.

A 36-year-old female of Winnipeg is facing charges of:

- Aggravated Assault
- Possession of a Weapon

She was released on an Undertaking (as mandated by the Criminal Code).
