Aggravated Assault – Arrest: C22-71

Released: January 2, 2022 at 8 a.m.

On January 1, 2022, at approximately 1:30 p.m., North District General Patrol officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of Leila Avenue to check the wellbeing of a female.

Officers located an injured adult female and took an adult male into custody upon arrival. The victim was transported to a hospital where her condition worsened, and she remains with serious injuries.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued with the investigation, and the incident is believed to be domestic violence.

Cody Rain Roulette, a 30-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

- Aggravated Assault
- Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order

He was detained in custody.
