Update:
The deceased has been identified, and the Winnipeg Police Service wishes to thank the public and media for their assistance. Foul play is not suspected.
The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance identifying a male who was found having sustained significant injuries in the area of the St. James bridge on December 23, 2021. The male was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Investigators have been unable to identify the male.
The deceased is described as follows:
- Approximately 25 to 30 years old with a light or olive-coloured complexion.
- About 5’10”–6’ tall.
- 140–160 lbs in weight with a slim build.
- Long dark hair with a full beard.
- A tattoo of VII on his right chest and another tattoo on his right forearm.
- Had been wearing tan-coloured Carhart pants with a flannel jacket and a blue sweater.
The Winnipeg Police Service is providing the public with pictures of the male’s tattoos to help with identifying him.
