Assault with Weapon – Arrest: C21-298898

Released: December 29, 2021 at 8 a.m.

On December 25, 2021, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Winnipeg Police responded to a report of an assault at a personal care home located in the first 100 block of Furby Street.

Responding officers located a woman in her 30’s who had been stabbed in the forearm. She was conveyed to the hospital, where she was treated and released.

Officers arrested a male in his 60’s who was a resident of the care home. The investigation determined that the same male had attacked and threatened a staff member on December 23.

The male was transported to the hospital for a medical and psychiatric assessment awaiting further disposition.

He faces possible charges of Assault with a Weapon and Uttering Threats.
