Sexual Exploitation – Arrest: R21-16627

In April of 2021, the Winnipeg Police Service Sex Crimes Unit became involved in an investigation into allegations of historical sexual exploitation concerning a teacher from St. Norbert Collegiate. The allegations concerned events that occurred between 2015 and 2018. Detectives from the Unit interviewed the victim, who was a 15-year-old student at the school when the incidents began.

At the completion of the investigation, detectives sought a Crown Opinion to determine if criminal charges should be laid. Manitoba Prosecution Service confirmed charges were authorized against the 36-year-old teacher.

Chasity Jenna Deah FINDLAY has been charged with:
- Sexual Interference
- Luring a Person Under 18 Years of Age
- Sexual Exploitation
- Sexual Assault
- Luring a Person Under 16 Years of Age

The accused was released by way of Crown Consent as per the Criminal Code.
