Homicide – Arrest: C20-88966

Released: February 8, 2021 at 8 a.m.

As previously released on April 25, 2020:

On April 24, 2020, at approximately 12:45 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 700 block of Victor Street after an injured male had been found inside a residence.

Officers located the male who was transported to hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced deceased and identified as Noah Soloman Nigussie, a 23-year-old male of Winnipeg.

Members of the Homicide Unit continued with the investigation.

Update:

On February 5, 2021, investigators placed a male suspect under arrest.

It is believed that the suspect and victim, known to each other, had been involved in a dispute at the residence, which escalated and the victim was shot.

Royce Anthony James Boyle, a 24-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

- Second Degree Murder

He was detained in custody.
