Break & Enter and Weapons – Arrest: C21-20568

Released: January 27, 2021 at 8 a.m.

On January 26, 2021, at 2:04 p.m., Central District Community Support Unit members were conducting a proactive patrol in the Daniel McIntyre area when they observed a male enter a vacant house in the 600 block of Toronto Street.

The male was stopped and taken into custody. He was found to be in possession of a 5” improvised firing device (“zip gun”) loaded with a .22 calibre cartridge. He was also determined to be the subject of two outstanding arrest warrants.

Samual David Gott, a 27-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

- Break & Enter with Intent - Dwelling House
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order (x2)
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
- Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition

Gott was processed on the arrest warrants for charges that include:

- Robbery (x2)
- Sexual Assault
- Assault
- Uttering Threats
- Fail to Comply with Condition of Undertaking (x2)

He was detained in custody.
