Homicide – Public Assistance Requested: C20-242271

Released: January 19, 2021 at 8 a.m.

On October 12, 2020 a deceased male later identified as 29-year-old Mohamed Ahmed was discovered in the Red River near Churchill Drive and Hay Street.

His death was determined to be a homicide.

Members of the Homicide Unit continued to investigate his murder and have obtained a Canada-wide warrant for the arrest of Jesse James DAHER, 28 of Winnipeg for:
Second-Degree Murder.

DAHER is described as a white male, 6’3” in height, approximately 155 lbs in weight, with a thin build. He has green eyes and is believed to have a shaved head or possibly brown short hair.

DAHER is considered to be armed and dangerous and the public is cautioned not to approach him.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call 911. Additional information that may assist investigators can be relayed to the Homicide Unit Investigators at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
