Firearm and Drug Seizure – Arrest: C21-12952

Released: January 18, 2021 at 8 a.m.

Winnipeg Police Service Guns & Gangs Unit entered into a firearms investigation linked to a known drug trafficker within the city.
On January 17, 2021, the Guns & Gangs Unit executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a location in the 3100 block of Portage Avenue; at which time the following items were seized:

  • handgun (prohibited firearm)
  • 3.4 grams Methamphetamine (street value of $340)
  • $235 cash proceeds of crime
  • drug packaging materials
  • body armour
  • cellular devices

Two adults were arrested during this search warrant.
Kain Cody WAGNER, 30, of Winnipeg was charged with numerous firearms and drug related offences as well as two outstanding Probation Warrants.
He was detained in custody.
A 25-year-old female of Winnipeg is also facing firearms and drug-related charges.

She was released on an Appearance Notice.
