Assault with a Weapon – Arrest: C20-283132

Released: December 1, 2020 at 8 a.m.

As previously released:

On November 30, 2020, at 1:11 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a residence in the 300 block of Ross Avenue for the report of a male who had been assaulted.

Upon arrival, officers located an injured adult male who was subsequently transported to hospital in unstable condition.

Further investigation determined that a second adult male related to this incident was at a residence in the 600 block of McGee Street.

This male was located with injuries and subsequently transported to hospital in unstable condition.

While this investigation is still ongoing, two suspects have currently been arrested on assault and weapon-related charges.

Update:

On November 30, 2020, the two accused have been identified in this incident. The accused and the victims were known to each other.

George Adam DAY, 19, has been charged with several firearms and weapons-related charges.

He was remanded into custody.

Brittany Larrisa DAY, 25, has been charged with assault and weapons-related charges.

She was subsequently released on an Undertaking.
