Assault with a Weapon – Arrest: C20-280763

Released: November 27, 2020 at 8 a.m.

On November 26, 2020, at 11:10 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a hotel in the 600 block of Main Street for a report of a male that had been stabbed.

Upon arrival, officers located an injured 48-year-old male inside a suite. A female suspect was taken into custody. The male was subsequently transported to hospital in unstable condition and was later upgraded to stable condition.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued with the investigation. It is believed that the two were known to each other and that a verbal argument escalated to the stabbing.

Cindy Jean Anderson, a 46-year-old female of Winnipeg, has been charged:

- Assault with a Weapon

She has been detained in custody.
