The Winnipeg Police Service’s Missing Persons Unit continues to investigate the disappearance of Cynthia Parisian, a missing 40-year-old female.
Cynthia was last seen at the Home Depot located at 845 Leila Avenue during the afternoon of February 17, 2019. At the time of her disappearance, she had been wearing dark clothing with a pink toque.
She is described as Indigenous, approximately 5’3” in height with a heavy build, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Detectives have been investigating Cynthia’s disappearance for the past 20 months. Today, they are releasing video surveillance, which is believed to show her entering a dark-coloured truck after leaving the Home Depot.
She is seen leaving the Home Depot and walks towards a truck that had been seen circling the area. The Missing Persons Unit believes that this truck may be an important detail in her disappearance and ask anyone that may have information about this vehicle to contact investigators.
Cynthia’s family misses her dearly, and her mother has issued the following statement:
“Cynthia has been missing since February 17, 2019. She has a family that loves her and is missing her. She also has a grandson she has never met yet. We believe someone has information on her disappearance. We just want some answers – anything at this point would help. We thank anyone that can provide the information that can help resolve this. So please call Missing Persons or Crime Stoppers”.
