Assault with a Weapon – Investigation: C20-243656

Released: October 14, 2020 at 8 a.m.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit are investigating a series of robberies that occurred overnight in the Lord Selkirk Park area.

  • On October 13, 2020, at approximately 9:50 p.m., two adult females were robbed by a large group at knifepoint. The victims sustained no injuries.
  • On October 14, 2020, at approximately 12:05 a.m. Winnipeg Police responded to the 600 block of Manitoba Avenue for a report of an adult male that had been stabbed by a large group. He was transported to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable.
  • While in the area, officers located another adult female victim who was robbed at knifepoint by a large group. The victim sustained no injuries

North District General Patrol, with the assistance of AIR1 and the K9 Unit, arrested four suspects in the area and are currently in custody.

This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
