Homicide – Public Assistance Requested: C19-299390

The Winnipeg Police Service is asking the public and media for their assistance with a homicide that occurred on Christmas Day.

On December 25, 2019, at approximately 10:20 a.m., a North District General Patrol unit came upon a male down on the sidewalk at the intersection of Salter Street and Redwood Avenue. Officers determined that the male had been assaulted and the victim was conveyed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The victim has been identified as Gordon Edward Pashe, a 37-year-old male.

Members of the Homicide Unit continued with the investigation and believed that Pashe had been assaulted in the 300 block of Redwood Avenue before being located by officers.

Investigators are releasing images and video of a car believed to be a vehicle of interest in the homicide. The red-coloured Chevrolet Sonic was observed in the North End area of Winnipeg in the days before, during and after the incident.
