On December 29, 2019, at approximately 11:00 p.m., a North District General Patrol unit was patrolling the area of Main Street and Selkirk Avenue when they observed a vehicle with a rear licence plate obscured with snow.

The vehicle was stopped in the area of Main Street and Euclid Avenue at which time officers made several drug-related observations that resulted in the arrest of the two occupants. A search of the occupants and vehicle resulted in the seizure of 29 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine (packaged in different denominations, estimated street value of $2,640), two mobile devices and $1,810 in Canadian currency.

Okoth Obeing, a 19-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

He was detained in custody.

An 18-year-old male of Winnipeg will be charged with:

- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

He was released on a Promise to Appear.
