Shooting – Investigation: C19-297484

Released: December 22, 2019 at 8 a.m.

On December 22, 2019, at approximately 2:05 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a restaurant at River Avenue and Osborne Street for the report of a male that had been shot.

Upon arrival, officers located an injured 20-year-old male. The male was transported to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable condition. An employee of the restaurant was also struck during the shooting but was not injured.

This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
