Residential Break & Enter – Arrests: C19-288409

Released: December 10, 2019 at 8 a.m.

On December 10, 2019, at approximately 2:00 a.m., a resident in the 400 block of Banning Street contacted the Winnipeg Police Service about two suspicious individuals going door-to-door in the area. Central District General Patrol officers, along with AIR1 and the K9 Unit, were assigned.

AIR1 arrived in the area first and observed two suspects enter a residence in the 500 block of Banning Street. Ground units were directed to the house, at which time a male suspect fled from inside. The male was taken into custody after a foot pursuit and with the assistance of AIR1. A female suspect was located still inside the residence and was found to be in possession of a small amount of cocaine.

A resident was home during the break-in and was uninjured.

Lloyd Kenneth Castel, a 23-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

- Break & Enter with Intent – Dwelling House
- Resist Peace Officer
- Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice (x2)

Keesha Annalee Keeper, a 20-year-old female of Grand Rapids, has been charged with:

- Break & Enter with Intent – Dwelling House
- Possession of Scheduled Substance – Cocaine

They were detained in custody.
