Weapon – Arrest: C19-257350

Released: November 1, 2019 at 8 a.m.

On November 1, 2019, at 12:45 a.m., Winnipeg Police General Patrol officers responded to a report of a male armed with a knife threatening passengers on a Winnipeg Transit bus travelling on Dunkirk Drive.

The driver, in communication with a Transit Supervisor, stopped the bus near Kingston Row. The suspect left the bus, however, responding officers were able to apprehend the male after a short foot pursuit. An 8-inch knife was seized from the suspect. There were no injuries.

Roxy Pierre COLOMB, 34, of Lynn Lake, Mb., was charged with:
- Carry Concealed Weapon
- Possess Weapon

He was detained in custody. The accused admitted to using methamphetamine prior to the incident.
