City launches 2019 Budget consultation

Winnipeg, MB – Today, the City of Winnipeg launched its budget public engagement process, Let’s Build the Budget Together, to provide input for the 2019 budget development process. Winnipeggers can provide feedback until May 23, 2018.

This year, the City is interested in Winnipegger’s feedback on the annual budget and the state of the City’s infrastructure to work together towards sustainable budget decisions. The City’s financial challenges and infrastructure deficit cannot be fixed overnight, but we can start with the 2019 budget process.

Winnipeggers will have multiple opportunities to provide their input for the 2019 budget development process, including an interactive online tool, a survey, pop-up events located throughout the City, and a public workshop. Once completed, feedback will be compiled into a report which will provide input in the 2019 budget development process.
