Public invited to participate in the Transcona Cemetery Improvement Strategy

Released: February 22, 2017 at 3:21 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB. - Winnipeggers are invited to participate in developing an improvement strategy for the Transcona Cemetery.

The City of Winnipeg is currently looking at developing a strategy for improving the Transcona Cemetery in consultation with the public and stakeholders to ensure the cemetery continues to meet the needs of the community. A draft plan will be developed for improvements to the grounds, and will include a plan to return the chapel to use.

The public’s first opportunity to provide input is through an online survey available now on the Transcona Cemetery Improvement Strategy website: winnipeg.ca/cemeteryimprovement.

The online survey will be available for two months and the project team will use the priorities identified by the community to create improvement options for further consultation at future public meetings.
