Snow clearing and sanding operations continue

Winnipeg, MB - Crews have been out sanding since the snow started at 4:00 a.m. today. Motorists are reminded to drive to conditions while we continue to address slippery conditions throughout the day.

Tonight, grader plows will continue to scrape down compacted snow and ruts which formed due to cold weather and high winds after last weekend’s snowfall.

Sidewalk clearing was completed yesterday. We are sanding sidewalks and plowing drifted areas as required.

Stay back, stay safe
Motorists are reminded to drive to road conditions and to use extreme caution when driving near any snow clearing equipment or sanding trucks.

Parking ban
Only the regular Snow Route Parking Ban is in effect at this time, meaning parking is prohibited between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on streets displaying “Snow Route” signs.
