Motorists encouraged to park elsewhere when a residential street is scheduled for snow clearing; citizens encouraged to "Know Your Zone"

Winnipeg, MB - Plowing and drainage improvement operations on residential streets will begin tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. to help open drains in preparation for the upcoming spring melt and to improve roadway conditions.

A residential parking ban is NOT in effect as the primary focus of this operation is clearing catch basins for drainage in the driving lane. However, the parking lane will be cleared if the roadway is free of vehicles so motorists are encouraged to find alternative parking to assist with this effort.

Citizens are urged to confirm their snow zone letter for their neighbourhood in order to determine when their residential street is scheduled for clearing. Snow zone information is available at knowyourzone.winnipeg.ca or by contacting 311.
