Arlington Overpass to close until August 31, 2013 for bridge repairs

Winnipeg, MB - The public is advised the Arlington Overpass over the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning 6:00 a.m. on Monday, July 15.

The closure is due to City of Winnipeg repair work being performed on the bridge including the deck overlay, structural steel repairs and maintenance. The overpass will reopen at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31.

The east sidewalk will remain open during this period for pedestrian traffic.

Motorists are reminded to allow additional travel time and to use alternative routes in the area such as the McPhillips Street Underpass and the Slaw Rebchuk Bridge.
