Winnipeg, MB - The public is advised that beginning Monday, May 27, there will be intermittent road closures on Portage Avenue East from Main Street to Westbrook Street will be closed due to manhole repairs.
Beginning Saturday, June 1, there will be a full closure of Portage Avenue East for approximately two weeks. Local access will be available from Main Street only. Westbrook Street will remain open, but northbound left turns will be restricted. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
Manitoba Hydro will be working at Portage Avenue East and Westbrook Street rebuilding three manholes that are a critical part of Winnipeg’s electrical system. This work is expected to take approximately four weeks to complete.
