Residential Parking Ban lifted

Released: January 17, 2013 at 7 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB - City of Winnipeg residents are advised that the Residential Parking Ban has been lifted.

The City of Winnipeg wishes to thank all Winnipeggers for their patience and cooperation during the residential (P3) street parking ban.

If some streets in a snow zone have been missed or only partially cleared, crews will return in the coming days to address outstanding snow clearing requirements. In the meantime, residents can park on their street since the Residential Parking Ban only applied during the 12-hour period previously scheduled. When plowing crews return, no additional parking restrictions will be imposed.

The Annual Snow Route Parking Ban remains in effect daily from 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. until March 1, 2013.

Plowing operations were completed in accordance with the City Council-approved Snow Clearing and Ice Control Policy, which can be found online at winnipeg.ca/publicworks/snow/snow-clearing-policy.stm.

For information on what bans are in place at any time, or on snow zones, residents can contact 311, open 24 hours every day, by phone at 311 or by email at 311@winnipeg.ca.
