WINNIPEG, MB - September 13, 2012 - The public is advised that all lanes and sidewalks on Higgins Avenue will be closed from Gomez Street to Argyle Street starting Friday, September 14 at 7:00 p.m. and opening Monday, September 17 at 6:00 a.m.

This closure allows for the demolition of the old Disraeli Overpass.

All Route 44 GREY and 47 TRANSCONA buses will be diverted via Main Street, Euclid Avenue, Sutherland Avenue, Annabella Street, Higgins Avenue and the Louise Bridge in both directions during the Higgins Avenue closure. Further details are available at: Winnipegtransit.com

The new Disraeli Bridges will replace the 50-year-old structures that span the Red River and the Canadian Pacific Railway main line, and will rejuvenate a critical piece of Winnipeg’s transportation infrastructure.
