Reminder that Leisure Guide registration for Fall programs will have staggered start dates

WINNIPEG, MB - August 23, 2012 - Citizens are reminded that the registration process for Fall 2012 programs will have staggered start dates as follows:

Tuesday, August 28 at 9:00 a.m. - Registration begins for swimming lessons only.

Wednesday, August 29 at 9:00 a.m. - Registration for swimming lessons continues and registration for all other programs begins.

Registration for all programs will be ongoing after these start dates. For your convenience, the City offers a number of ways to register:

Visit Winnipeg.ca/leisureonline (a login ID and PIN, and a credit card are required). Citizens who do not already have a PIN and login ID number for online registration are asked to set up an account prior to the first day of registration. This can be done by calling 311, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, or by visiting any civic indoor pool or the Fort Rouge Leisure Centre, 625 Osborne Street.

In-Person Registration Locations for August 28 and August 29 Only
The Central Registration Centre, 999 Sargent Avenue, and the South-East Registration Centre, 1168 Dakota Street, will be accepting in-person registration on August 28 and August 29 only, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Both the Central and South-East Registration centres will have six service desks to process in-person registration.

In-person registration on August 28 and August 29 will also be accepted at select City of Winnipeg indoor pools (check in-person registration times at the facility of your choice by calling 311 or visiting
Winnipeg.ca).

Pan Am Pool will be open for in-person registration on August 28 and August 29 only. Please note that an alternate entrance will be used during construction.

Please note that on August 28 and August 29 only, in-person registration will not be processed at the following locations:

  • Main Floor, 395 Main Street
  • Fort Rouge Leisure Centre
  • Sherbrook, Bonivital, and Margaret Grant pools.

Due to regularly scheduled maintenance shutdowns, in-person registration will also be unavailable at Elmwood Kildonans and St. James Assiniboia Centennial pools.

Queue numbers at all in-person registration locations will be handed out starting at 7:00 a.m. on August 28 and August 29.

Mail or Drop-off
Please note that payment must be made by cheque for all mail or drop-off registrations. Please make your cheque payable to �The City of Winnipeg.�
