Catch basin repair underway on St. Mary's Road, north of Vivian Avenue

WINNIPEG, MB - July 16, 2012 -Repairs began this morning on a catch basin pipe on St. Mary’s Road just north of Vivian Avenue that collapsed late yesterday afternoon causing a large void under the pavement.

During the repair:

  • the two northbound lanes next to the median are closed
  • the northbound curb lane is open
  • all southbound lanes are open
  • the sidewalks are open

Traffic could be fully restored as early as Thursday, July 19, 2012.

Sewer service to area residents is not affected.
