Dog Adoption Sale

The City of Winnipeg Animal Services Agency will be holding an Adopt-a-Dog sale on Thursday, March 1, Friday, March 2, Saturday, March 3 and Sunday, March 4 at 1057 Logan Avenue. This is the Agency's first dog sale of 2012.

WINNIPEG - February 29, 2012 - The City of Winnipeg Animal Services Agency will be holding an Adopt-a-Dog sale on Thursday, March 1, Friday, March 2, Saturday, March 3 and Sunday, March 4 at 1057 Logan Avenue. This is the Agency's first dog sale of 2012. The last sale was in November of 2011.

All in-house dog adoptions are only $99 and include license, micro-chip, spay/neuter, basic shots, food and pet health insurance.

Today the agency has 47 dogs in its Logan Avenue facility – well beyond capacity. 34 dogs are available for adoption. None of the stray dogs in the facility were wearing a dog license.

One such dog that was picked up without a license and is now up for adoption is Wasabe.

Animal Services officials remind pet owners to call 311 and visit Animal Services if you lose your dog.
