Winnipeg, MB – At 3:43 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a vacant one-and-a-half storey house in the 300 block of Nairn Avenue.
When crews arrived, they saw smoke coming from the house and began an interior fire attack. Heavy smoke and heat forced firefighters to leave the building and switch to an exterior attack. After they knocked down part of the fire from outside, crews re-entered the house and continued firefighting operations inside. They declared the fire under control at 4:41 p.m.
Firefighters searched the house and found no occupants. No injuries were reported.
The fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available. The house was damaged in a previous fire in April 2024.
