Winnipeg, MB – At 7:18 a.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a vacant house in the 1000 block of Sherburn Street.
When crews arrived at the scene, they found smoke coming from the house. Firefighters entered and launched an interior fire attack. The fire was declared under control at 7:53 a.m.
A search of the house was completed, and no occupants were found. There were no injuries reported.
The fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available. The house was damaged in a previous fire in September 2025.
Anyone who sees someone actively entering a vacant building, or removing boards from windows or doors from a building, should call 911 to report the incident immediately.
If you notice boarded windows or doors that have been breached, but you do not see someone actively entering or trying to enter the building, report the incident to 311 by phone or online.
