The City of Winnipeg is replacing the large sloped roof at the Seven Oaks Indoor Pool.
Work is anticipated to begin on April 15, 2024 and will last approximately 12 weeks.
We do not anticipate facility closures or disruptions to planned programming at this point. Facility users may notice some noise and dust as a result of the construction.

An assessment of the roof condition conducted in 2023 identified the large sloped roof as requiring replacement.
We are not anticipating disruptions to planned programming at this time. Elevated noise levels are expected. Dust may be released from the underside of the active work area during daytime hours. This will be monitored on an ongoing basis, and adjustments to programming will be considered if necessary. This could include temporarily limiting access to portions of the pool area throughout the day and/or relocating user groups to other sites.
We are not anticipating disruptions to planned splash pad hours or programming at this time. Elevated noise levels are expected during daytime hours.
This roofing project is part of the $3.5 million in Recreation and Library Facility Investment Strategy funding allocated in 2021 for the Seven Oaks Pool Building Renewal. This project is funded by the Government of Manitoba.
