Winnipeg, MB – At 1:15 a.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2026, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a two-storey multi-family residence in the 300 block of Aberdeen Avenue. The incident was first reported by officers in the Winnipeg Police Service’s AIR1 helicopter.
When WFPS crews arrived on scene, they found smoke coming from the structure. Firefighters launched an interior fire attack, declaring the fire under control at 1:58 a.m.
All occupants evacuated prior to the arrival of WFPS crews. No injuries were reported.
The City’s Emergency Social Services team was activated to provide temporary assistance to displaced residents.
The fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available.
