Winnipeg, MB – People living and playing in south Winnipeg now officially have another option for picnics and community gatherings.
A new shade structure was officially opened today at Jinnah Park (335 Tim Sale Drive).
It features four picnic tables, including one with accessible seating. Two benches were also added along the park’s pathway.
“I want to thank the leadership of the South Pointe Residents Association for their dedicated advocacy and hard work in helping make this shade structure a reality,” said Councillor Janice Lukes, Waverley West. “Your commitment to our community over the years is greatly appreciated.”
Work on these new features was funded by the City of Winnipeg Communities Fund and Parks and Recreation Enhancement Program.
