Winnipeg, MB – At 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2026, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a vacant building in the 500 block of Sherbrook Street.
At the scene, crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the house. Firefighters transitioned between offensive and defensive strategies as conditions changed. Crews used an aerial ladder to spray water from above the structure.
Firefighters declared the fire under control at 9:11 a.m. No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation.
