Winnipeg, MB – At 9:42 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a house in the 300 block of Agnes Street.
At the scene, firefighters found heavy flames and smoke coming from the house.
Paramedics assessed seven patients. Of those seven patients, paramedics transported three patients to hospital in critical condition, two patients in stable condition, and two patients did not require transport to hospital.
At the same time, firefighters switched between offensive and defensive strategies depending on conditions.
Firefighters also evacuated two neighbouring houses as a precaution.
Winnipeg Transit responded to the scene to provide a bus for temporary shelter for displaced residents. The City of Winnipeg’s Emergency Social Services team responded to provide temporary support to residents.
Firefighters declared the fire under control at 2:32 p.m.
The fire is under investigation. The house sustained significant damage from fire, smoke, and water.
