Winnipeg, MB – At 1:20 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a one-and-a-half storey, mixed-use commercial and residential structure in the 1500 block of Logan Avenue.
When crews arrived at the scene, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the building. Firefighters initially launched an exterior fire attack. Once conditions improved, they were able to enter the building and transition to an interior fire attack. The fire was declared under control at 2:22 a.m.
All occupants of the building self-evacuated prior to the arrival of crews. No injuries were reported. One cat was located deceased by firefighters.
The fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available.
