Winnipeg, MB – Since yesterday, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) has responded to two structure fires.
Enfield Crescent
At 1:52 a.m. on Monday, October 6, 2025, WFPS responded to reports of a fire in an unoccupied apartment building in the 300 block of Enfield Crescent.
At the scene, crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the building. Firefighters attacked the fire, switching between offensive and defensive attacks as conditions changed. They also protected nearby buildings from fire spread.
Firefighters evacuated a nearby apartment building as a precaution. Winnipeg Transit responded to provide temporary shelter for these residents.
Firefighters declared the fire under control at 5:01 a.m. No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation.
Carbutt Place
At 4:23 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2025, WFPS responded to reports of a fire in a house on Carbutt Place.
At the scene, firefighters found smoke coming from the house. Firefighters attacked the fire, declaring it under control at 5:09 p.m.
No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation.
