Winnipeg, MB – This evening, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to two structure fires.
Fossil Creek Crescent
At 5:29 p.m. on Monday, July 28, 2025, the WFPS responded to reports of a fire in a house on Fossil Creek Crescent.
At the scene, crews found smoke coming from the building. Firefighters attacked the fire, declaring it under control at 6:20 p.m.
No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
Pritchard Avenue
At 7:58 p.m. on Monday, July 28, 2025, WFPS responded to a fire in a vacant house in the 800 block of Pritchard Avenue.
At the scene, crews saw heavy flames and smoke coming from the house. Firefighters attacked the fire declaring it under control at 8:15 p.m.
One firefighter sustained a minor injury. Paramedics assessed the firefighter and no transportation to hospital was required. The fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
Vacant Buildings
Call 9-1-1 if you see someone actively entering a vacant building or removing boards from a building’s windows or doors.
If you notice boarded windows or doors that have been breached but you do not see someone actively entering or trying to enter the building, report the incident to 311 by phone or online.
