Winnipeg, MB – At 1:49 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2025, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a vacant house in the 300 block of Elgin Avenue. The initial call came from the Winnipeg Police Service’s AIR 1 helicopter.
When firefighters arrived, they saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the house. Firefighters attacked the fire, declaring it under control at 2:27 a.m.
No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available.
