Winnipeg, MB – At 1:38 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2025, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a single-storey house in the 100 block of Manitoba Avenue.
When crews arrived at the scene, they determined that a fire had been extinguished. Firefighters ensured all hot spots were extinguished.
All occupants of the house self-evacuated. Three individuals were assessed by paramedics. Two were transported to hospital, one in unstable condition and the other in stable condition.
Preliminary observations suggest the fire was accidental, caused by unattended cooking. Damage estimates are not available.
