Winnipeg, MB – At 12:17 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a vacant two-storey residential building in the 300 block of Garlies Street.
At the scene, crews saw smoke coming from the building. Firefighters attacked the fire, declaring it under control at 12:50 p.m.
No one reported any injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
If you see someone actively entering a vacant building, or removing a building’s boards from windows or doors, call 911 to report the incident immediately.
