About the Disraeli Active Transportation Bridge
In 2008, the City of Winnipeg received feedback from public consultation during preliminary design of the Disraeli Bridge project which identified that pedestrian and cycling safety and accessibility were high priorities. The AT Bridge was built on the existing concrete foundations from the original Disraeli River Bridge. This allowed the project to maximize economic benefits and minimize environment impacts. The AT Bridge opened to pedestrian traffic on September 19, 2013. More information on the Disraeli Active Transportation Bridge is available at City of Winnipeg - News Releases.
