Winnipeg, MB - Santa Claus has announced that he will once again interrupt his busy holiday season to make a special appearance at the City of Winnipeg's Animal Services Agency on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Santa will be available for seasonal pet photos as well as hearing Christmas wish lists from pets, both big and small, and their families.

All pets are welcome as long as they are comfortably restrained and attend the event with their owners. Santa also said that he expects the top five Christmas wishes for dogs currently living at the City's Animal Services Agency will be:

  • To be adopted into a loving, permanent home
  • A City of Winnipeg dog license (on sale at the photo event)
  • A long walk
  • Canned dog food
  • Collars and leashes

Also attending the holiday photo event as Santa's little helpers will be two dogs up for adoption at City's Animal Services Agency, Asher and Buddy. There are currently 40 dogs available for adoption at Animal Services. To view more photos and videos of adoptable pets or to purchase a dog license visit Winnipeg.ca.
