L’équipe de la mobilisation scolaire collabore avec les écoles de Winnipeg pour donner des présentations de sensibilisation à la prévention du crime et à la sécurité destinées spécifiquement aux jeunes.
Des présentations sont données sur divers sujets, y compris les suivants :

- La sensibilisation aux gangs
- La sensibilisation aux drogues
- L’intimidation
- Les jeunes automobilistes/les jeunes et la loi

Demandez qu’on donne une présentation à votre classe. Toutes les présentations sont gratuites, et la plupart d’entre elles durent une heure. Une fois votre demande reçue, un représentant du SPW communiquera avec vous pour prendre des dispositions.
Grades K-4, 5-8, 9-12
Students learn what an emergency is, how to get help in a variety of situations, including the use of the 911 system, dealing with strangers, the use of bike helmets, street safety including who safe adults are and who to go to when danger presents itself.
Grades 3-5, 6-8, 9-12
The focus of this presentation is to engage students in learning about online behavior and the related dangers including social, emotional, and physical risks. Information is provided on consequences of their actions, as well as the resources to assist them should they require. Topics include, but are not limited to social media utilization, self-exploitation, and harm reduction.
Grades 3-5, 6-9
With a view to preventing incidents of bullying, explains what bullying is, and what the potential consequences are (information is adapted from the new law, Bill 18 - The Public Schools Amendment Act). The issue is examined from several points of view - the bully, the victim and the bystander, and provides ways to deal with incidents of bullying.
Grades 4-6, 7-12
The focus of the presentation is to educate students on the negative effects of legal but improperly used drugs and illegal drugs, as well as providing strategies to assist in abstention and maintenance of a healthy lifestyle.
Grade 10-12
Engaging the students and encouraging lively discussions with respect to issues that relate to driving and the law. Subject areas include the use of seatbelts, risks associated with distracted driving, speeding, cell phones, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Parents
Parents are provided with up-to-date information about issues and dangers, psychological, Sextortion and criminal consequences, for students using social media, online gaming and other platforms.
Grade 9-12
This presentation provides students information about all the different job opportunities with the Winnipeg Police Service, including Police Constable, Central Processing Officer, Auxiliary Cadets, Civilian opportunities and Emergency Communications Call Taker. The requirements, training and pay for each different position is provided to the students.
