Released: January 26, 2024 at 10:08 a.m.

Information contained in our media releases may relate to issues of violence or trauma, which could be distressing for some individuals. Be mindful of your well-being and consider whether or not engaging with this content is appropriate for you.

Every two years, the Winnipeg Police Service (WPS), in conjunction with the Winnipeg Police Board, conducts a public opinion telephone survey. The anonymous survey asks citizens about their view of the WPS and their opinions about crime and public safety in our city.

The week of January 29, 2024, Prairie Research Associates (a local independent market research firm) will randomly call individuals in all areas of the City of Winnipeg. The survey requires approximately 15 minutes to complete.

Once completed, the survey results will be made public and discussed at a public Winnipeg Police Board meeting and posted on the Winnipeg Police Service and Winnipeg Police Board websites.

Citizens can be assured the survey is legitimate if they receive a call from Prairie Research Associates the week of January 29th.

If you are 18 and older, please consider participating in this opinion survey. Your feedback is valuable.

The Winnipeg Police Service thanks all those who take the time to participate in the survey.
